The Waterloo Regional Police Service has arrested and charged a Kitchener female in connection to a weapons investigation from March 2025.

On March 28, 2025, at approximately 3 a.m., police responded to reports that bear spray had been discharged inside an apartment building on Edwin Street in Kitchener. Several individuals were exposed to the spray and received treatment for minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation, police identified a suspect. On August 10, 2025, officers arrested a 28-year-old Kitchener female. She has been charged with:

• Administer Noxious Thing

• Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose

• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

• Failure to Comply with Order

• Assault with a Weapon

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 18, 2025.
