Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Personal Injury Collision in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist in Kitchener.

On August 19, 2025, at approximately 10:10 p.m., emergency services responded to the intersection of Courtland Avenue East and Ottawa Street South following reports of a collision involving a white Toyota SUV and a mountain bicycle.

The cyclist, a 48-year-old Kitchener male, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Toyota, a 26-year-old Kitchener male, did not report any physical injuries.

The collision remains under investigation by members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Traffic Services Unit, and charges are anticipated.
