Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Residential Break-and-Enter in Wilmot Township

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a residential break-and-enter in the Township of Wilmot.

On August 14, 2025, at approximately 7 a.m., police received a report that unknown suspects had entered an unlocked vehicle on Woodridge Drive and then gained access to a residence’s garage. 

Several items, including personal identification, keys, outdoor equipment, and packages, were stolen.

Investigators are asking residents in the area of Woodridge Drive and Meadowpark Place to review their home security cameras between midnight and 2 a.m. on August 14, 2025, for any suspicious activity or vehicles.

As part of ongoing crime prevention efforts, WRPS’ Break, Enter, and Vehicle Theft Team encourages residents to:

  • Keep doors and windows locked, including vehicles, even when at home.

  • Store valuables out of plain sight.

  • Install audible alarm systems.

  • Use home video surveillance cameras for both the front and rear of residences.

  • Notify trusted neighbours when away and arrange for someone to check on your property.

  • Report any suspicious persons or vehicles to police.
