WRPS Continues to Investigate Cyclist Collision in Downtown Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Traffic Services Unit is investigating a collision involving a cyclist in Kitchener.
On May 27, 2025, at approximately 5:55 p.m., police responded to a collision between a Toyota SUV and a cyclist at the intersection of King Street East and Cedar Street North.
The cyclist, a 20-year-old Kitchener male was struck by the driver of the Toyota SUV and was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the Toyota, a 38-year-old Kitchener male did not sustain any physical injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours for the police investigation and has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit and charges are anticipated.
