Police Charge Individual Following Theft Investigation at Woolwich Township Orchard
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a female following a theft investigation at a local orchard in Woolwich Township.
On September 28, 2025, at approximately 5:25 p.m., police received a report of a theft from a business on Line 86.
The owner of the orchard observed a female transferring apples from a designated picking bag into the trunk of a vehicle. The apples were weighed and found to exceed the amount paid for by approximately 39 pounds.
Through investigation, police identified and arrested a female shortly before 8 p.m.
As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old female from Guelph was charged with one count of Theft Under $5,000. She was released on an Undertaking with a court date in October 2025.
