Police Investigate a Sexual Assault in Downtown Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating a sexual assault that occurred in the downtown area of Kitchener.
On September 29, 2025, at approximately 10 p.m., police responded to a report of a sexual assault near King Street West and Duke Street West.
A female youth reported that she was sexually assaulted while walking in the area. The victim did not sustain physical injuries.
Officers arrived on scene shortly after the report and located a 60-year-old Kitchener male. He was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault and Criminal Harassment. The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
The investigation is ongoing and is being handled by the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit.
