WRPS Continue to Investigate Fatality Pedestrian Collision in Wilmot
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
On October 25, 2025, at approximately 4:35 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian on Wilmot Centre Road near Bleams Road. The pedestrian, a 66-year-old Wilmot male, was transported to an out-of-region hospital and pronounced deceased.
As a result of the ongoing investigation, on March 2, 2026, the 34-year-old male driver was charged with Careless Driving Causing Death.
The accused will appear in court on March 30, 2026.

WRPS’ Traffic Services Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in Wilmot Township.
On October 25, 2025, at approximately 4:35 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian on Wilmot Centre Road near Bleams Road.
The pedestrian, a 66-year-old Wilmot male, was transported to an out-of-region hospital and pronounced deceased.
The driver, a 34-year-old male, reported no physical injuries.
The roads were closed for several hours for the investigation and have since reopened.
