Waterloo Regional Police Respond to a Large Unsanctioned Car Rally in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police responded to a large car rally in Cambridge and issue numerous charges.

On May 30, 2025, at approximately 9 p.m., police received multiple complaints of a large car meet in the area of Sheldon Drive and Conestoga Boulevard.

Local business contacted police after witnessing approximately 200 vehicles in the area that were seen speeding, blocking driveways, and causing excessive noise.

Members of the Traffic Services Unit and the Traffic Enforcement Team attended the area and conducted several traffic stops.

As a result of the investigation, officers issued numerous charges including:

  • Two Unnecessary Noise, and one warning
  • Improper Muffler, and one warning
  • Three Drive Motor Vehicle, fail to display plates
  • Colour coating obscuring interior
  • Two Fail to Surrender Insurance Card
  • Fail to Surrender Permit for Motor Vehicle
  • Drive Motor vehicle, no currently validated permit
  • Vehicle Modified – Fail to apply for new permit
  • Obstruct Plate
