UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate a shooting incident in Waterloo.

On November 16, 2025, at approximately 1:50 a.m., police received multiple reports of gunshots in the area of Bridgeport Road East and Weber Street North.

Through the investigation, it was determined that a shooting occurred at the intersection of Bridgeport Road East and Weber Street North and involved the occupants of two black coloured vehicles.

Four other light-colored vehicles, who are not believed to be involved in the shooting incident, were present at the intersection at the time of the shooting.

Investigators would like to identify and speak with the occupants of the light-colored vehicles who witnessed the shooting.

Police are encouraging the occupants of the light-colored vehicles in the photo below to contact our General Investigations Unit at 519-570-9777, extension 4496.

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a shooting incident in Waterloo.

On November 16, 2025, at approximately 1:50 a.m., police received multiple reports of gunshots in the area of Bridgeport Road East and Weber Street North.

Through investigation, it was determined that a shooting had occurred between the occupants of two vehicles.

Investigators believe at least one individual involved in the incident was injured; however, they have not yet been located, and investigators continue to search for them.

Roads were closed in the area for the investigation and have since been reopened.

There will continue to be an increased police presence in the area as investigators conduct a canvass for witnesses and information.

The investigation remains ongoing by members of the WRPS' General Investigations Unit and Forensic Identification Unit.
