Police Investigating Sexual Assault in Woolwich Township
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a youth in connection to an ongoing sexual assault investigation in Woolwich Township.
As a result of the investigation, on May 19, 2025, investigators arrested and charged a 14-year-old male youth from Woolwich Township with:
- Sexual Assault (two counts)
The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Special Victims Unit.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault in Woolwich Township.
On May 15, 2025, at approximately 5 p.m., police received a report of a sexual assault on the walking trail at the Woolwich Reservoir off of Reid Woods Drive, northwest of Elmira.
The adult female victim was walking on the trail when she was approached and assaulted by a male youth.
There were no reported physical injuries.
The male youth is described as White, approximately 5’4” tall, with brown, short hair, wearing a long-sleeved blue, green, and white plaid shirt, jeans, and clog-style shoes. The youth was riding a dark-coloured bicycle.
The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ Special Victims Unit.
