The Waterloo Regional Police Service is investigating a shooting that resulted in a male victim being hospitalized in critical condition.

On December 8, 2025, at approximately 12:30 a.m., police responded to a local hospital after a male victim arrived suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. 

The victim, a 22-year-old male, remains in hospital in critical condition.

The suspect or suspects and the location of the shooting have not yet been identified. The General Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate this incident.
