WRPS Arrest Two Males After a Collision Involving a Police Vehicle
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two males after an incident involving a police vehicle collision in Cambridge.
On May 10, 2025, at approximately 3:20 a.m., officers were conducting patrol in the area of Queen Street West when they located a motor vehicle that was associated to a person wanted on a warrant.
Officers attempted to complete a traffic stop but the driver of the vehicle fled. Officers later located the vehicle on Hammet Street.
The driver attempted to flee, which resulted in a minor collision with a police vehicle.
There were no reports of any physical injuries.
The driver, a 28-year-old Toronto male, has been arrested and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and flight from police.
As part of the investigation, a 22-year-old Celedon male passenger, was charged with possession of break in instruments and possession of a device for the purpose of committing theft.
Both males were held for a bail hearing.
