On December 20, 2025, during the morning hours, the Waterloo Regional Police Service responded to a series of break and enter incidents in the area of Victoria Street North and Forwell Road in Kitchener.

The incidents are believed to be connected, as each involved commercial properties in close proximity where entry was gained through the front doors by tampering with the locking mechanisms. In each occurrence, the suspect(s) entered briefly, stole cash and/or small electronic devices, and then exited the premises.
