Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a residential fire in Kitchener.

On December 25, 2025, shortly after midnight, emergency services responded to a report of a fire in the area of Dumfries Avenue.

A detached garage at a residence on Dumfries Avenue was fully engulfed in flames. The fire was extinguished, and damage was limited to the garage. 

The residence was unoccupied at the time, and no physical injuries were reported. 

The cause of the fire is undetermined.
