WRPS Continues to Investigate a Disturbance in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested four individuals in connection to an ongoing investigation in Kitchener.
On May 6, 2025, police received a report of a disturbance in the area of Commonwealth Crescent.
The investigation revealed that four suspects attended the initial location and assaulted two victims. One suspect attempted to stab a victim, and threats were made. The suspects stole the victims’ belongings and forcibly transported them to a residence on Isabella Street, where further assaults occurred, including a sexual assault against one of the victims.
On May 8, 2025, members of WRPS’ General Investigations Unit completed a search warrant at a residence on Isabella Street and arrested four individuals.
As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old male, a 22-year-old male, a 38-year-old female, all from Kitchener, and a 36-year-old male from Waterloo were arrested and charged with:
- Assault with a weapon
- Sexual assault
- Forcible confinement (two counts)
- Robbery (two counts)
- Assault (two counts)
- Kidnapping (two counts)
- Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm (two counts)
The 22-year-old male was also charged with fail to comply with release order (two counts)
The four accused parties were held for a bail hearing.
Investigators believe the involved individuals are known to each other.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police responded to a disturbance in Kitchener.
On May 6, 2025, at approximately 12:35 pm, police received multiple calls for a disturbance in the area of Commonwealth Street and Commonwealth Crescent.
Police arrived on the scene and located one victim with minor injuries, and were advised to check for a potential second victim in the area.
Due to the location of this incident, Williamsburg Public School was briefly placed in a hold and secure while police investigated.
A short time later, police located the remaining involved parties.
One person was treated at the scene by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services.
Police are continuing to investigate this occurrence.
