Waterloo Regional Police are Investigating a Serious Collision in Cambridge
Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Traffic Services Unit are investigating a serious collision in Cambridge.
On January 8, 2026, at approximately 7:50 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a Hyundai motor vehicle and a pedestrian in the roundabout at Franklin Boulevard and Dundas Street South.
The pedestrian, a 49‑year‑old Cambridge male, was transported by ambulance to an out‑of‑region hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries. The driver of the Hyundai, a 31‑year‑old Burlington male, was not injured.
As a result of the investigation, the northbound lanes of Franklin Boulevard between Dundas Street South and Main Street were closed for several hours.
