Police Arrest Male Following Report of Suspicious Activity in Waterloo
Waterloo Regional Police arrest a male following a report of suspicious activity in Waterloo.
On January 14, 2026, at approximately 3:15 a.m., police responded to the area of University Avenue West and Lester Street for reports of a male checking car door handles.
Officers arrived and located the male suspect inside a vehicle, where he was arrested. During the arrest officers recovered bank and credit cards believed to have been stolen from vehicles.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old male was arrested and charged with:
- Possession of stolen property under $5,000 (two counts)
- Trespass by night
- Theft under $5,000
