WRPS Investigating Commercial Robbery in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a commercial robbery in Cambridge.
On January 8, 2026, at approximately 6:50 p.m., a male entered a store in the area of Elgin Street North and Linnwood Avenue. The male brandished a knife toward an employee and stole cash and merchandise.
The male then fled on foot down Linnwood Avenue.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
The suspect is described as a male, approximately 5’8”, wearing dark clothing.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit.
Investigators are requesting residents in the areas of Linnwood Avenue, Hilltop Avenue, and Alison Avenue to review their home security footage between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. on January 8, 2026 for any suspicious persons or activity.
