Police Seek Assistance in Locating Two Individuals Wanted in Connection to Theft Investigation
UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two individuals wanted on warrants for offences including theft and identity fraud.
On January 21, 2026, Florin Suta and Corina Baicu were arrested after turning themselves in to police in Kitchener.
As a result of the investigation, both individuals have been charged with the following offences:
- Theft under $5,000 (two counts)
- Use of credit card not authorized
- Identify fraud
Both accused parties were held in police custody for a bail hearing.

Waterloo Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two individuals wanted on criminal charges.
Florin Suta, 54, and Corina Baicu, 52, have been identified as suspects wanted in a theft that occurred at a business on King Street West in Kitchener on November 18, 2025.
On November 19, 2025, the same individuals were involved in a distraction theft in which a wallet was stolen from the purse of an 83-year-old victim at a business on Greenbrook Drive in Kitchener.
Florin Suta and Corina Baicu are both wanted on outstanding warrants for multiple criminal offences, including theft, identity fraud, and unauthorized use of a credit card.
