Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Targeted Assault in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a targeted assault in Cambridge.
On January 21, 2026, at approximately 10:30 p.m., two suspects approached the victim while he was driving in the area of Hespeler Road and Pinebush Road. The victim, a Cambridge man, was assaulted by one of the suspects with an edged weapon.
The victim sustained non-life-threatening physical injuries and was transported to an out-of-region hospital.
The suspects are described as White males wearing face coverings.
Investigators believe this was a targeted incident. The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has dash camera footage from the area of Hespeler Road and Pinebush Road between 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on January 21, 2026, to contact Waterloo Regional Police at 519-570-9777, extension 4496.
