Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Suspicious Person Incident in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a suspicious person incident in Kitchener after an individual gained access to a residential building and falsely identified herself as a personal support worker.

On November 24, 2025, at approximately 2 p.m., an elderly female in the Southdale area allowed an unknown female inside her apartment after the female stated she was attending to provide scheduled personal care services. The female assisted the resident with personal care and then requested cash payment for the service.

Through investigation, police determined the female suspect is not employed by the elderly female’s care provider.

No physical injuries were reported.

Investigators are looking to identify the woman shown in the below images in connection to this ongoing investigation.
