Waterloo Regional Police have charged an adult female in connection with a human trafficking investigation in Waterloo Region.

In December 2025, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Human Trafficking Team began an investigation into the alleged human trafficking of an adult female.

As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old female, who previously resided in Waterloo Region, has been arrested and charged with the following offences:

• Trafficking in Persons
• Receive Material Benefit
• Procuring
• Advertise Sexual Services
• Assault

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
