Policing Investigating Attempted Thefts of Hyundai Vehicles in Waterloo
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a series of attempted vehicle thefts in Waterloo.
Between January 18, 2026, and January 22, 2026, police received four reports of attempted thefts of Hyundai Elantras in the area of Northfield Drive and Bridge Street West and in the Mount Hope neighbourhood.
In these incidents, vehicles had their windows smashed and steering columns and/or ignitions tampered with.
The vehicles were parked in large residential parking lots.
The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
