Police Charge Cambridge Man in Child Exploitation Investigation
The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime – Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit has charged a Cambridge man as part of an investigation involving child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAEM – formerly referred to as child pornography).
On February 5, 2026, police executed a search warrant as part of the investigation at a Cambridge residence and arrested a male.
A 40-year-old Cambridge man has been charged with several offences, including:
- Possessing Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
- Importing/Distributing Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Material
- Assault with a Weapon
- Assault a Peace Officer
- Obstruct Peace Officer
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
