Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate an assault in Waterloo.

On February 9, 2026, at approximately 12:45 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault at a business on King Street North near Young Street West.

Upon arrival, officers located a male unconscious and suffering from a head injury.

The victim, a 62-year-old male was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The investigation is ongoing by members of WRPS’ Major Crime Unit.
