Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male Following Weapons Related Incident in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male after responding to a weapons‑related incident in Cambridge.
On February 16, 2026, at approximately 10:50 p.m., police received reports of a male suspect brandishing a firearm at a victim in the area of King Street East and Argyle Street.
Officers arrived and located the male. The male was arrested without incident and the firearm in his possession was determined to be an imitation firearm.
There were no physical injuries reported as a result of this incident.
As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old Cambridge male was charged with:
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
- Pointing a firearm
The accused was held for a bail hearing.
