Police Charge Drive with Impaired Driving After Responding to Wilmot Collision
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a driver with impaired driving following a single motor vehicle collision in Wilmot Township.
On February 26, 2026, at approximately 3:50 p.m., police responded to the area of Hillfield Drive after receiving a report of a male driving recklessly in the area before striking a snowbank.
Officers arrived and arrested the driver for impaired driving.
The vehicle sustained significant front-end damage and there were no physical injuries reported.
As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old Wilmot male was charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration
- Dangerous operation
- Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available
