WRPS Respond to a Robbery at a Cambridge Business
Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police’s Robbery Unit are continuing an attempted robbery investigation to a Cambridge business.
On May 24, 2025, at approximately 3:50 p.m., police responded to a report of an attempted robbery in the area of Cedar Street.
Four masked suspects attempted to rob a storefront but were unable to gain entry as the doors were locked. They then tried to break the glass door but were unsuccessful. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle that was later confirmed to have been stolen from the Greater Toronto Area.
Shortly after, the suspects were involved in a motor vehicle collision but managed to flee the scene. They later abandoned the stolen vehicle at a separate location and continued to flee on foot.
There were no reports of any physical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing by the Robbery Unit.
