Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Home Invasion in Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a home invasion in Waterloo.

On March 4, 2026, at approximately 12 a.m., police responded to a report of a home invasion in the area of Margaret Avenue North and Washington Avenue.

Through the initial investigation, it was determined that three unknown masked males and one female entered a residence, assaulted the victim with a weapon, and then fled the area in a vehicle. The victim sustained minor physical injuries. Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services attended, and the victim did not require hospital treatment. No other injuries were reported.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.

The investigation is being conducted by members of WRPS’ Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit.

Residents in the areas of Margaret Avenue North, Washington Avenue, and Lincoln Road are asked to check home security footage from 7 p.m. on March 3, 2026, to 12:30 a.m. on March 4, 2026, for any suspicious people or vehicles.
