Waterloo Regional Police Seeking Assistance to Locate Wanted Male
The Waterloo Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a male wanted in an ongoing fraud investigation.
On February 20, 2026, police received a report of immigration fraud in Kitchener. The victim reported retaining the services of an individual who presented himself as an immigration lawyer to assist with a work visa application. Between May 2024 and July 2025, the victim made a series of payments for legal services and reported that no work visa application had ever been submitted.
Investigators do not believe the individual is a registered lawyer and believe the individual may have been involved in two additional immigration fraud incidents in Kitchener in March 2025 and January 2026.
Mr. Harsharan Ahluwalia, 34, from Kitchener, is currently wanted on an outstanding warrant in connection to this investigation for the following offences:
Fraud Under $5,000 (three counts)
Passing Off (three counts)

Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance to locate Mr. Ahluwalia. The investigation remains ongoing, and investigators believe there may be additional victims.
