Hate‑Motivated Assault and Indecent Act Charges Laid After an Altercation in Kitchener
On March 14th, 2026, at approximately 12:10 a.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Wellington Street South in Kitchener.
The altercation regarding the theft of a takeout order occurred, resulting in the male assaulting the victim and using hate-motivated speech.
Following the assault, the male exposed himself to the victim and left the area.
There were no reports of any physical injuries.
Waterloo Regional Police located and charged a 36-year-old male from Milton with theft under $5000, assault, and indecent act.
The male was held for a bail hearing.
