WRPS Continue to Investigate Distraction Theft in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating following a report of a distraction theft in Kitchener.
On March 18, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the victim was approached by two unknown suspects while in their driveway on Hidden Creek Drive near Westforest Trail.
The suspects engaged in conversation with the victim. During the interaction, the female suspect placed a necklace on the victim, and at the same time, removed the victim’s original necklace. The suspects then fled the area in a vehicle.
The victim, a 65-year-old female, reported no physical injuries reported.
The investigation remains ongoing.
