Police Continue to Investigate Distraction Theft in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating following a report of a distraction theft in Kitchener.
On March 19, 2026, at approximately 4 p.m., the victim was approached by two unknown suspects while in front of their residence on Old Maple Lane.
The suspects engaged the victim in conversation and, during the interaction, removed two necklaces and bracelets form the victim. The suspects then fled the area in a vehicle. The victim, a 78-year-old female, reported no physical injuries reported.
The first suspect was described as a Brown female, 55 years, wearing a head scarf and a long grey floral dress.
The second suspect was described as a Brown male, 30 years, with a thin build, wearing a light brown jacket and white pants.
The investigation remains ongoing.
