Waterloo Regional Police Investigating a Serious Collision Involving an E-Scooter in Kitchener
Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service Traffic Services Unit are investigating a serious collision in Kitchener.
On April 16, 2026, at approximately 3 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a GMC motor vehicle and an e‑scooter at the intersection of Homer Watson Boulevard and Ottawa Street North.
The driver of the e‑scooter, a 16‑year‑old Kitchener male, was transported to a regional hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the GMC motor vehicle, a 30‑year‑old Kitchener male, did not sustain any injuries.
The investigation is ongoing, and charges are anticipated.
