Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Male Following a Weapons Call in Waterloo
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male following a weapons-related call at a shopping centre in the area of Erb Street West and Ira Needles Boulevard in Waterloo.
On April 16, 2026, at approximately 4:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a male brandishing a knife while operating a motor vehicle in the area.
Through the investigation, police determined that a male attempted to confront another driver and subsequently brandished a knife while threatening the victim.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
A 54-year-old Waterloo male has been charged with Assault with a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
The male is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
