A Youth is Charged After a Weapon's Call at a Kitchener Mall

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a youth after a weapon call at a Kitchener mall.

On March 8, 2025, at approximately 3:20 p.m., police received reports of a male youth brandishing a baseball bat and a firearm. The incident took place in the area of Fairway Road South and Wilson Avenue.

There were no reports of any physical injuries.

Upon arrival, police located the male and arrested him. The officers located a BB gun replica of a firearm.

The male was charged with two counts of weapon for a dangerous purpose and three counts of breaching a judicial order.

The male was held for a bail hearing.
