Waterloo Regional Police Investigating a Theft in Kitchener
On April 25, 2026, at approximately 8:20 p.m., officers with the Waterloo Regional Police Service responded to the area of Lancaster Street West and General Drive in the Kitchener following a report of a theft.
The investigation determined that the incident occurred during a sales transaction that had been arranged through an online marketplace. Property was stolen during the interaction.
The suspect is described as a white male, believed to be between 17 and 18 years old, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, with a skinny build and blond hair reaching the eyebrows. At the time of the incident, the suspect was wearing a black hoodie with a zipper and hood worn down, red jogging pants or pajama pants, and black and white shoes. The suspect was carrying a black backpack.
The vehicle involved is described as a white SUV with tinted windows and dark rims.
Police have obtained an image of the suspect and are releasing it to the public in an effort to identify the individual.
