Waterloo Regional Police Seeking Witnesses Following a Road Safety Incident in Cambridge

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit have charged a driver as a result of a road safety incident in Cambridge.
As a result of the investigation, a 48-year-old Kitchener male has been charged with:
- Dangerous operation
- Careless driving
- Insecure load
The male is scheduled to appear in court on August 10, 2026.

Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit are investigating a road safety incident that occurred in Cambridge.
On April 27, 2026, at approximately 2:25 p.m., a black 2014 Ford F‑150 pickup truck was observed travelling southbound on Lisbon Pines Drive while dragging a large piece of concrete attached by a tow strap.
The concrete became detached from the vehicle, causing another motor vehicle travelling behind it to take evasive action to avoid a collision.
Police are seeking to identify and speak with the driver of the secondary vehicle involved. Investigators are also requesting any dash camera or surveillance video from the area around the time of the incident.
