Waterloo Regional Police Arrest Youths Following Robbery Involving Replica Firearm in Cambridge
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a person‑to‑person robbery that occurred in Cambridge.
On May 3, 2026, at approximately 2:30 p.m., police responded to the area of Fountain Street and Preston Parkway following reports of a robbery involving a firearm.
As a result of the investigation, two 14‑year‑old youths were located and arrested in connection with the incident. Police recovered the firearm involved.
Following examination by officers, the firearm was determined to be a replica.

The youths are facing weapons‑related charges and were held for bail hearings.
