WRPS' Robbery Team Charges Two Suspects after a Carjacking Investigation
Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two individuals in connection to multiple carjackings.
In June 2024, Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Robbery Team began to investigate three separate carjacking incidents within Waterloo Region. In each of these incidents, a male and a female suspect used a knife and a baseball bat.
There were no reports of any physical injuries at the time.
The investigations continued and resulted in the recovery of a stolen motor vehicle in Barrie, Ontario.
Forensic evidence was obtained and later led to the identification of the two suspects.
On February 27, 2025, a 22-year-old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with multiple offences, including robbery with a weapon, uttering threats, and theft of a motor vehicle.
A 20-year-old female from Oro-Medonte Township has also been charged with several offences, including robbery with a weapon, uttering threats, and theft of a motor vehicle.
Both parties were held for a bail hearing.
