Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Jewellery Store Robbery in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a robbery at a jewellery store in Kitchener involving multiple suspects armed with hammers.

On May 7, 2026, at approximately 7:55 p.m., police responded to a report of an attempted robbery at a jewellery store in the area of Highland Road West and Fischer-Hallman Road.

Three suspects entered the store and smashed several glass display cases with hammers. Store staff intervened, and the suspects fled the store without obtaining any jewellery. 

The three suspects then fled the area in a vehicle operated by a fourth suspect and were last seen heading west on Queen’s Boulevard.

No physical injuries were reported. 

The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS’ Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit.
