Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Serious Collision in Wellesley Township
Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Traffic Services Unit (TSU) is investigating a serious motor vehicle collision in Wellesley Township.
On May 9, 2026, at approximately 3:45 p.m., emergency services responded to a report of a collision involving a Mazda and a Toyota at the intersection of Moser Young Road and Hessen Strasse Road.
Five occupants of the Mazda, including two children, were transported by ambulance to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the Toyota was also taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours while TSU officers conducted their investigation. A hydro pole also sustained significant damage as a result of the collision, and the roadway remained closed for several hours to facilitate repairs.
The investigation is ongoing, and charges are anticipated.
