Police Charge Driver with Impaired Driving Following Traffic Stop in North Dumfries
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a driver with impaired driving following a traffic stop in North Dumfries.
On May 10, 2026, at approximately 3:15 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Roseville Road near Edworthy Side Road after observing a vehicle travelling 124 km/h in a 60 k/h zone. Officers arrested the driver for impaired driving.
As a result of the investigation, an 18-year-old Cambridge male was a charged with:
- Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration
- Speeding
- Stunt driving
- Careless driving
- Novice driver- blood alcohol concentration above zero
- Young driver- blood alcohol concentration above zero
