UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Regional Police have charged a male in connection to a robbery and multiple break-and-enters in Kitchener and Waterloo.

On February 24, 2025, at approximately 4 a.m., police responded to an in-progress break-and-enter at a business on Lancaster Street West in Kitchener.

Upon arrival, police located and arrested a male inside the store.

Through investigation, officers determined that the same male was responsible for a convenience store robbery in Kitchener earlier that morning, as well as three additional commercial break-ins, two on King Street North in Waterloo and another on Lancaster Street West in Kitchener.

The male, a 32-year-old from Kitchener, has been charged with the following offences:

• Robbery with a weapon
• Break, enter and commit theft (three counts)
• Break, enter – attempt

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.

Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a robbery at a business in Kitchener.

On February 24, 2025, at approximately 1:30 a.m., an unknown male attended a convenience store on King Street West. The male attempted to conceal merchandise and was confronted by an employee. A physical altercation ensured, and the male left the store. A short time later the same male returned to the store, brandished a knife while threatening the employee and left the store again.

There were no physical injuries reported.

Police are looking to identify and speak to the individual pictured below in connection to this incident.
