WRPS Charge Driver after Responding to Collision Involving LRT in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police have charged a driver after responding to a collision involving an LRT Train in Kitchener.
On May 26, 2026, at approximately 11 a.m., police responded to reports of a collision between a pickup truck and an ION Light Rail Transit (LRT) vehicle on King Street West near Andrew Street. There were no injuries reported.
As a result of the investigation, a 41-year-old male driver of the vehicle was charged with Careless Driving.
