Waterloo Regional Police are Investigating Residential Break-and-Enters in Wilmot
Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Break Enter, Vehicle Theft, and Robbery (BEAR) Unit are investigating three residential break-and-enters that occurred in Wilmot.
Between May 5, 2026, and May 19, 2026, three residential break-and-enters were reported at retirement community areas, one on Foell Street in Baden and two separate incidents on Erbs Road in St. Agatha.
In each incident, unknown suspect(s) entered through a rear door and stole jewelry and other personal property.
Investigators are looking to identify and speak to the individual picture below in connection to this investigation.
WRPS’ BEAR Unit is asking residents to consider the following tips to help prevent break-ins:
- Keep doors and windows locked, even when home
- Keep valuables out of common areas and out of plain sight
- Install audible noise alarm systems
- Secure residences with home video surveillance cameras in the front and back of the residence
- Notify neighbours when away for an extended period and arrange to have someone check on your residence
- Report any suspicious persons or vehicles to police
