Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Storage Unit Break-Ins and Recover Property in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police are investigating break-ins at storage units in Kitchener and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying recovered property.
Sometime between May 19 and May 20, 2026, unknown suspect(s) gained entry to a secured storage yard in the area of Riverbend Drive and Wellington Street North by cutting the main gate lock.
Investigators learned that two storage units were accessed and locks were cut. Property, including electronics, clothing, tools, and personal items, was reported stolen.
Police recovered property believed to be stolen from the storage units, including:
- Equestrian equipment
- Painting supplies
- A dog crate
Police believe some of the recovered items may belong to additional victims who have not yet been identified.
The investigation remains ongoing.
