Police Seek Assistance to Identify Suspect in Cambridge Retail Thefts

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Regional Police have laid charges in connection to a series of thefts in Cambridge.

Between January 2026 and May 2026, a male suspect attended LCBO stores on multiple occasions and stole merchandise.

On July 17, 2026, a member of the public observed the suspect steal merchandise from a store in on King Street East and contacted police. Officers responded and located the male in Dumfries Conservation Area and placed him under arrest.

As a result of the investigation, the male, a 46-year-old from Cambridge, was charged with 19 counts of Theft Under $5,000 and 12 counts of Disguise with Intent.  

The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Kitchener on October 7, 2026.

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a series of thefts in Cambridge.

Between January 2026 and May 2026, an unknown male attended multiple stores and is believed to have stolen merchandise on several occasions.

Investigators would like to identify and speak to the individual pictured below in connection to these incidents.
