Police Investigate Voyeurism Incident at University of Waterloo

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection to a voyeurism incident in Waterloo.

On May 26, 2026, a victim reported a voyeurism incident while on campus at the University of Waterloo. The victim reported a male suspect was observed following her and appeared to be taking photographs of her.

As a result of the investigation, on June 9, 2026, a 47-year-old Waterloo male was arrested and charged with:

  • Voyeurism
  • Criminal Harassment 

The accused will appear in court on September 14, 2026.

Waterloo Regional Police would like to thank members of the public for assisting in identifying the individual connected to this investigation.

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a voyeurism incident in Waterloo.

On May 26, 2026, a victim reported a voyeurism incident while on campus at the University of Waterloo. The victim reported a male suspect was observed following her and appeared to be taking photographs of her.

Investigators would like to identify and speak with the male pictured below in connection to this incident.

The investigation remains ongoing by members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s General Investigations Unit.
