WRPS Arrest Two Individuals in Buy-and-Sell Robbery in Cambridge
Police arrest two individuals after responding to a buy-and-sell robbery in Cambridge.
On February 13, 2025, at approximately 10:10 a.m., police responded to the area of Chalmers Street South and South Street for a report robbery.
The victim had arranged to meet the suspect to sell a cell phone posted on a buy-and-sell website.
The victim met at the agreed located and was confronted by two individuals with their faces covered. The suspects administered a noxious substance and stole the cell phone. The suspects then assaulted the victim and fled the area on foot.
Officers located both suspects nearby and arrested them.
As a result of the investigation, a 19-year-old male and a 13-year-old youth, both from Cambridge, were arrested and charged with:
- Disguise with intent
- Robbery with weapon
- Administer noxious thing with intent to endanger life or cause bodily harm
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Assault
The 19-year-old male was held for a bail hearing.
